Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your journey begins in Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. After breakfast, we depart towards Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and clean streets. Next, we pass through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques. Take a break to observe these playful monkeys in their natural habitat.

Continuing south, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through scenic towns and Berber villages. We stop for lunch in Midelt, known for its apple orchards. Afterward, we drive along the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and lush oasis, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

In Merzouga, we switch from vehicles to camels, embarking on a breathtaking camel trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Witness the stunning sunset over the dunes before arriving at our desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, followed by live music and stargazing under the vast desert sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges

Wake up early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. We return to Merzouga via camel ride or 4×4 and set off towards Rissani, an ancient trading hub with a bustling traditional market. Here, you can explore local crafts, spices, and Moroccan dates.

Next, we visit Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and marble craftsmanship. Continuing through the rocky desert landscape, we arrive at the Todra Gorges, a stunning canyon with towering rock formations. This is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Enjoy an afternoon stroll along the river before settling in for the night in a nearby hotel.

Day 3: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we drive through the breathtaking Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” due to its ancient fortresses and scenic landscapes. We make stops along the way to admire the Dades Gorges, a series of rugged rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion.

We continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its famous film studios. Here, many international movies and TV series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones, were filmed. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, an impressive historic fortress, before heading to your hotel for the evening.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Today, we explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. This ancient village, made of mud-brick structures, has been featured in numerous Hollywood films. Wander through its maze-like alleys and take in panoramic views of the surrounding desert.

We then begin our journey across the High Atlas Mountains, following the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. Along the way, we stop at traditional Berber villages, offering insight into the rural life of Morocco.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech, known as the Red City. Spend the evening exploring Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, a vibrant hub filled with street performers, food stalls, and local artisans.
